Managing Email Consent

A Commercial Electronic Message is not defined as “bulk email only”. Single CEMs require consent to send, just like bulk newsletter emails. So the idea of using email to cold call Canadians is a violation of CASL. Pick up the phone, send a letter by post, connect on LinkedIN or whatever. But do not email without being able to prove some form of consent described in CASL.

Raven sits over top of your email client and in a split second compares the email being sent to your white list (consent list). If consent does not exist, the sender is contacted via an immediate email and asked to manage the consent for this email. In their browser a page is opened and they can select from the 5 types of consent, entering where their proof is located in the dialogue box. The message is then sent, with a clear record of consent.
